The Cruzer Profile is a portable, hi-speed USB 2.0 flash memory storage drive with added personal security capability to safeguard data, images, presentations and other personal information. Fingerprint identification technology embedded in the device helps restrict access to only the designated user of the CruzerProfile. The stylish, compact Cruzer Profile is about the size of a pack of gum measuring at 60mm long, 24mm wide and 14mm in height. With included dual LED’s, one LED indicates USB functionality and data transfer and the second one provides proper status during enrollment and authentication of the biometric fingerprint. The Cruzer Profile authenticates users when a finger when swiped across the device and an embedded identification sensor reads the fingerprint, gives approval and activates the drive. Usage of the Cruzer Profile will not require the loading of any applications on a computer. To provide a high degree of security and tamper protection, these images will not pass through or be placed on the computer at any time.

Good item but not convenient.
Good item but not convenient. After restart my comp, big banner shows up top of the login window. It is looking for usb flash drive.

Sandisk products NOT VISTA COMPATIBLE
Do not buy any Sandisk Products if your computer is running Vista…. You would think they have had enough time to get their drivers up to date…..

Fingerprint sign-on works pretty well!
I have been using the Sandisk Cruzer Profile 512MB for about 2 months and have to say that it has not given me any problems with Windows XP and Winfdows 2000 machines.

SanDisk Cruzer 512MB Flash drive
This flash drive is not compatible with Mac although it is advertised as being compatible with windows and Mac.
