This is the first time I have ever written a negative review of a product but I was so upset with this product I felt I should take the time to warn others. I bought this DVD player as a Christmas gift in Nov 08. I gave it to my husband as a gift and it stopped working in Mar 09. It would say it was loading the DVD and never advanced. We got about three months of use out of the player. I e-mailed Coby with no success. They never responded to my e-mail. I called and waited on hold for 20 minutes only to find out I had the serial number and not the model number. I called back a second time with the model number and waited on hold for 20 minutes before being cut off. I called a third time and waited on hold for over 20 minutes only to be told it was more than 90 days and there was nothing they could do to help me. I loved the thing for the three months it worked. I hated that it only worked for three months and the customer support was terrible.

DVD Player
The 10.2 inch screen is very good. It has a good picture. When you pause it will only pause for 5mins and then you will have to start the movie over again.

Works well but…
I have purchased two very similar DVD players in the last 6 months for use in the office where I work. The first one was “silver” plastic.

This is an excellent DVD player. I was skeptical at buying a Coby but so far, I have not had any problems. The 10.
Purchased this dvd player two weeks ago to replace an older one with a smaller screen. Was not really excited about it being from Coby, from whom I had previously purchased another product which was complete trash, but was intrigued by the features, the positive reviews on this board, and the deep dish discount from Amazon with free shipping throw in. I am pleased so far. Screen image and sound will not blow you away, but are decent enough. Controls are well organized and function well. Swivel part of the program is a bit odd, as you can only swivel clockwise and the machine sits better and image shows better with the swivel not in use. Machine is handsome but a bit light and fragile. Probably needs a padded protective case to survive any travel usage. At the moment, looks like a good value for the money in the larger screen portable category.

This is a great product, nice clear wide screen, very adapdable for viewing and easy to carry in your briefcase for airplane travel.
